Singer Exodus to Release a new music Album this July

Gospel singer George Lubega Timothy commonly known by his stage names of Exodus is yet to end his 9 months of music drought as he is set for a return with a full music album.

According to Exodus, his next music project that will be following ‘Brekette’, his collaboration with Levixone has taken him two years to compile and his fans should expect the best of him.

The Igwe singer revealed that by the beginning of next month (July), he will be getting back to business.

Troubled Singer Big Eye Threatens to Sue President Museveni and his NRM Party

Troubled singer Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye is yet to do the ‘unthinkable’ as he has threatened to drag President Yoweri Museveni and his National Resistance Movement (NRM) political party to the law suit over the money that he owes him.

According to Big Eye, NRM political party owes him a large sum of money for performing at H.E President YK Museveni’s campaigns in 2011 that is around $270M.

He hopes that if he receives this pay, it would help him settle part of his alleged Ugx. 450Million debt.

HiPipo Music Awards 2020 Full List of Winners

The 9th Edition of the HiPipo Music Awards has finally came to an end with a number of artists, entertainers and other personalities nominated receiving accolades accordingly.

However unlike in the previous editions, this year’s edition happened virtually as winners from over 40 categories as voted for by the music fans from across the Continent were revealed. This came in line with the Government’s COVID-19 guidelines where the finale that was originally scheduled for March 16th at Kampala Serena Hotel, owing to the global outbreak of the Corona Virus Pandemic was postponed to the 29th of May.

The event had top notch performances from Sheebah Karungi, Kenneth Mugabi, Roden Y, Triplets Ghetto Kids, Kian Banks, Triple S and many others where viewers streamed live on the HiPipo Facebook page beginning from 8:00pm.

Singer Juliana Kanyomozi Gives birth to a Baby Boy

Songbird Juliana Kanyomozi has added a new life to the planet after giving birth to a baby boy that she has named Taj, Ugandan Buzz can confirm.

According to the ‘Seven Days’ singer’s most recent post on her socials that is making rounds on different media platforms, she is seen in a picture holding her newborn, captioned;

“IT’S A BOY!!!! Say hello to Taj 12-05-2020. We are thrilled!!. To God be the glory.”

The news come as a surprise as she kept her pregnancy. Unlike other celebrities that organise baby showers, before hospital shower, c – section shower and things like that to let everybody know about it, Juliana never let even a single moment of her being balooned reach the media. However the father of baby boy remains a mystery.

This is the second born to the sensational singer after Kenron, who sadly passed away bak in 2014 at the age of 11from Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi Kenya where he had been taken for treatment after suffering a severe asthma attack while at school.

Nyondo Club Proprietor Vincent Kasumba Passes On

Najjanankumbi based Nyondo Pub proprietor has passed on, just a few months after overcoming a brain tumor that had induced him into coma for more than 5 years.
According to our sources, Vincent Kasumba was diagonised with a brain tumor in 2013 that bedridden him for several years but had recovered and started using using a wheel chair on his own for movement as well as regaining speech abilities. The cause of his death has not been confirmed but many relate it to his previous health complications.

Najjanankumbi based Nyondo Pub

Nyondo Club is a popular bar and entertainment place at Najjanankumbi along Entebbe road and is one of the many business strings owned by Kasumba alongside several businesses and buildings in Kampala and Masaka.

Vincent Kasumba was the brother to Joseph Kiyimba, the proprietor of Kampala and Masaka Ambiance discotheques.

According to his former and current employees, Kasumba has been a very down to earth, loyal and humble person who has been hardworking and always focused business man.

Uganda Extends Lockdown For Another 21 Days

In a bid to contain the further spread of the Corona Virus COVID-19 disease, the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has announced the extension of the lock down for more 21 days.

This comes after the expiration of the first lock down of two weeks that ended on Monday, 13th April 2020.

According to Museveni, Uganda was not prepared for a crisis that has killed several people in the worldwide.

It should be noted that at least 117,752 people have died worldwide from this killer disease from 193 countries and territories, according to an AFP tally around 1900 GMT Monday based on official sources, with 1,889,410 reported infections since the virus emerged in China’s Wuhan Province in December last year.

Uganda has 54 confirmed cases so far with 7 recoveries and no death yet.

Uganda confirms 18 Covid-19 Recovery Cases as 4 get Discharged

Four Patients that were earlier diagnosed with the covid-19 disease in Uganda have been discharged after testing negative in all the last three tests of the deadily virus.

This was officially announced by the Prime Minister of Uganda, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda as he witnessed a discharge of 3 patients from Entebbe Grade B Hospital.

“I want to appeal to the communities to warmly welcome the discharged patients and reintegrate them into the communities. These people have been properly treated and given the requisite tests and have been clearly declared healed. You have no reason not to reintegrate them into their communities” Dr Rugunda appealed to the public.

According to the minister of health Jane Ruth Aceng, the patients that were discharged had spent 21 days in hospital since it takes time for the viral load to go down. These also included the index case.

The permanent secretary ministry of health Uganda also confirmed that they are yet to have a total of 18 discharged including the 4 that went home today

No new case for the third straight day

Meanwhile, all the 555 samples that were tested today, Saturday 11th April were NEGATIVE for COVID-19. This means that for the third day in a row, Uganda has not recorded any new infections.

Of the 555 samples tested, 184 from from institutional quarantine and 371 from the community.

This makes the total cases still standing at 53, 4 recovered and 49 active cases with no reported death so far.

Kampala Sex Workers Cry Out over Corona Virus Pandemic

‘Mistresses of the Night’ from various locations of Kampala have raised alarm over low patronage attributing it to the out break of the Corona Virus Pandemic in the country as customers suddenly lost interest.

According to a one sex worker from areas of Kabalagala, an outskirt of Kampala city that is popular for its nightlife and mainly clubbing & prostitution, the disease has put her only source of income on the line. To make matters worse, following a number of guidelines by the president to combat the killer viral infection from the spreading that also also includes a curfew from 7.pm to 6.30am, this has cut short of their operations since this is mainly their operation duration.

“Since the disease hit Uganda through majorly Kampala city, and the president emphasised restricted access to the city (renowned prostitutes spots in Kampala and other areas) and banned mass gathering, it makes us hard to get customers.. ” She said.

Some modern prostitutes such as Escort Girls that trade their services via online means such as social media and websites are also facing the same thing since public transport was banned and there is no way they can get to their customers and the vise versa.
